 Ananova:
Petrol spill closes Dublin port

The port of Dublin is closed after a petrol spillage from a fuel storage tank.

Police have sealed off all entrances to the area, on the River Liffey, turning away lorries, trucks and other vehicles, and shipping has been stopped from entering the port.

Ferries from Britain are among the ships which were unable to dock.

The spill happened as petrol was being transferred from a tank.

Eight units of the Dublin fire brigade have been called in and covered the area involved with foam.

Authorities say the port will remain closed until further notice.
